Nicola graduated in 2012 from Santa Clara University with a degree in public health and psychology after spending 4 years working as a Student Athletic Trainer with SCU Division I athletics. Following her years as a student athletic trainer, she worked a few years in the orthopedic surgery and sports medicine setting. She was the administrative director for CCI for multiple years before she decided to further her education and attend graduate school to become a physician assistant. Her experience working with CCI harvested a passion for concussion outreach and care.
Nicola Juri serves as the Administrative Director for California Concussion Institute. She developed a strong interest in concussions while completing a 4 year position as Student Athletic Trainer during her studies at Santa Clara University. She graduated Santa Clara University with a bachelor’s degree in public health and psychology. After college, she began working as a clinical assistant in orthopedics.
She joined the CCI team in June of 2014. She has particularly enjoyed utilizing some of her educational background in public health as it applies to the increasing number of head injuries among athletes. She also serves as the medical assistant to Dr. Saglimbeni. Ultimately she hopes to utilize her clinical experience to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant specializing in concussion care.
She is currently pursuing her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at University of the Pacific and is set to graduate as a PA in April 2019. After program completion, she hopes to return to working in sports medicine and concussion care as a provider.
